Description

Very luxurious, energy efficient (label A) and high-quality renovated family house of approx. 186 m2 with 7 multifunctional bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, at the edge of the Amsterdamse Bos!

It may be clear that the design of this house can be called sublime. The Grand Interior created a plan that has been thought out to perfection, giving each room of the house its own character. Very pleasing is the great diversity of the house. It offers more than enough space for large families, but other uses are also conceivable. The design focused not only on the layout, but also on things like the balanced lighting plan and the use of beautiful materials. Originally from the 1930s, the house has been completely modernised and is completely up to date again. For example, the entire house has underfloor heating, which can be controlled per room. All installations have been renewed and extra insulation has been considered. The luxury can be found in all aspects of the house. For instance, there are extra high doors (2.70 m) that were specially made to measure and the many applications of handicraft can be found everywhere. The entire house has a beautiful oak floor laid in herringbone pattern and high skirting boards have been applied.
The quality and design are things you have to experience in person to fully appreciate.

LAYOUT
Entrance, you enter the spacious hall. Immediately, the tone is set regarding the ambience and high-quality finish of the house. The carefully chosen materials and colours are perfectly matched and can be found throughout the house. The hall is characterised by the decorative mouldings and lighting on the walls, and a coat closet has also been created. Large pivot doors give access to the living room. This is a living room with lots of natural daylight from both sides. At the front is the sitting area with built-in television. Here you have plenty of room to place a large sofa and a separate armchair. The literal centrepiece of the living area is the large dining table. It is placed in the middle of the room and everything takes place around it. It is possible to seat at least eight people at this table without it becoming cramped. At the back of the living area is the kitchen with a spacious cooking island. Here, too, beautiful and durable materials have been chosen. For example, the worktop is made of ceramic. All built-in appliances are from Siemens and Bosch and large families have been taken into account. Both a large-sized fridge and a large-sized freezer are available, and two large ovens and a wine cooler have also been chosen.A special feature is the large aluminium folding window that connects the terrace directly to the living area. From the terrace, you have a view of the newly landscaped garden facing south-west. The garden measures approx. 60 m2 and offers enough space for a large lounge arrangement and a dining table.

The authentic 1930s staircase leads to the first floor. There are two bedrooms on this floor. The master bedroom is located at the front and evokes memories of a chic hotel suite. For example, a custom-made washbasin has been chosen, which is concealed in an alcove. The ensuite bathroom is closed by a large sliding glass door and fitted with a solid surface bathtub and a double shower. At the rear of the floor is a second bedroom with its own ensuite bathroom as well. This room has an area where large wardrobes can be realised and also has access to a sunny balcony. The large windows and sun exposure make this an extremely bright room. On the landing is a separate toilet. Certainly the stucco in the toilets deserves a special mention, this is special Italian stucco which is set by hand and contributes to the luxurious character of the house.

The second floor also comprises two bedrooms which share a bathroom. Here too, the same high-quality finish was chosen as can be found throughout the house. Nice examples are the custom-made washbasin with extra storage space and the luxurious built-in taps. So nothing has been skimped on.

Apart from the aforementioned four bedrooms on the upper floors, there are also three additional bedrooms in the basement. These can of course also be used for other purposes than just sleeping. Think, for example, of a home office, playroom or perhaps even a room for relaxing. Especially the rooms on the garden side enjoy a lot of light as the windows are above ground level. The bathroom is accessible from the landing and equipped with a large walk-in shower and another solid surface bathtub. There is also a separate room which could perfectly serve as a utility/laundry room.

LOCATION
The house is located on Amstelveenseweg within cycling distance of the city centre and a short distance from Gelderlandplein and the shopping centre Stadshart Amstelveen with a very wide range of daily and luxury shopping facilities. Nearby are many amenities including various sports facilities (Spa Zuiver), daytime recreation in the Amsterdamse Bos and the Amstelpark, and a wide variety of schools. The neighbourhood is very child-friendly with plenty of opportunities to play outside. Station Zuid-WTC is a stone's throw away with good connections to Schiphol as well as the arterial roads Ring A-10, A-4, A-5. And there is plenty of public transport "in front of the door". It is also possible to charge your electric car in front of the door.
